This practice of looking directly at the sun at a safe time of the day (Dusk)and for very short periods of time,is called sungazing, solar healing,and Solar Yoga. This group does not exist to proselytize, but rather to share information about the practice.We will discuss and investigate the different styles and methods of SG.
SG has been practiced for thousands of years ,around the world, including Tibetan Yoga and traditions of QiGong and Tai Chi. In Egypt the priests sun gazed when praying to sun God RA.The practice has been kept secret from the common people due to the advantages it bestows to the professional practitioners(priests )The feeding of the mind with solar energy direct through the eye and the optical nerve re energizes the brain cells and creates more connections (synopses) so we can use a bigger portion of our brain capacity (we now use no more than 9%.At 15%we are genius )we can accumulate energy to clear out blockages in our mind and channel it to clear the rest of the body ,the body requires less calories so it becomes slimmer and healthier. SG followed by chanting and guided meditation promotes physical, mental, spiritual, and psychological well being.
