Dear Katy,
 
I know there is a bill going though the state legislature that is actually aimed at prostitutes operating massage parlors, but generally saying that you can't lay hands on clients if you don't have a medical license. For now, you have to either have a medical certification (RN, DC, RMT, LMT, MD, or whatever) or be an ordained minister to "lay hands on people with intent to heal".
 
I have 2 ordinations, and am both Reiki and Quan Yin Joray master. Truth is, you don't need to lay hands on anyone, though some people would prefer it for the comforting aspect.
 
As-is, I do a lot of energy work by proxy, either absentia energy work (long distance), sticking energy into my jewelry assemblies or using some basic tools, like Rick Ferguson's "SpaceBoard". It all works. Don't put any limitations on yourself.

I have been reading everything I can for quite some time and feel that I have abilities I would like to use to help others heal themselves.  However, I am unsure how to proceed.  I have no real qualifications in the sense that I am hold no degrees or certifications.  What do I need to practice in the state of Texas?  How does it work?  Do I have to be LMT to touch people at all in this state?  I’m very confused at the moment.  Thanks so much in advance for any words you can offer.
