Welcome Chanters and enChANTresses!

Would you like to play the didgeridoo for self healing and to offer didgeridoo healing to others?[/color] Well, of course, the first thing to do is to learn to play. This Meetup will serve as an introduction to learning to play the instrument. This will involve demonstrating the basics of forming the proper embouchure - the position of jaw, lips and cheeks and breathing in order to make the basic drone sound. Practice didgeridoos will be provided. Most attendees should be able to make this drone by the end of the meetup. Opportunities for additional instruction will be offered on an individual or small group basis in upcoming meetups.

How hard is it to learn? It all depends on your dedication and motivation. If you practice diligently, you can expect considerable progress within one month. My approach is to encourage the student to embark upon a voyage of discovery, providing just the necessary basis information until instinct or right brain kicks in. The greatest barrier in learning how to play is mastering the technique of circular breathing, in which you are continuously producing a drone while both inhaling and exhaling. Two or three more hourly lessons should accomplish this, plus give you instruction on rhythyms and special effects.[/b Then as you become comfortable playing, you will experience self healing at will and you will find the ability to transmit this to others.
